Florence Welch and Karl Lagerfeld lead the finale at the magical underwater themed Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 show
”The Grand Palais was transformed by huge, blinding white sea shapes; corals, shells, sea horses, stingrays - and Florence Welch arose like Botticelli’s Venus out of a half shell to sing to the crowd.” - style.com

My favourite looks from Prada S/S 2014 (see the rest of the collection here)
Yesterday I rushed home to watch Prada – I was 15 minutes late (thank God that the shows are always ‘fashionably late’) and I probably looked like a 14 year old girl who was about to miss the premiere of a new ‘One Direction’ video as I coerced my friend to get up the hill as fast as we could in fear of missing it. I know that a lot of people felt let down by the collection and I have one thing to say… Were we watching the same show? Prada has one of the strongest aesthetics out there; a powerwoman, independent, a look and edge that is so effortlessly cool you can’t help but stare. This season featured a non-conformist palette; very deep and dark which I feel drew people in more than the usual typical pastels that designers present for spring. In fact, a lot about this show was atypical as it seemed to give off a more artistic vibe – murals featured on the set walls, skirts, dresses, bags, fur coats even! Bejewelled details also played a big part, presented mostly on bra tops layered over jackets & dresses, and… wait for it: sporty tube socks – if that’s not luxury I don’t know what is. At the end of the day Miuccia never fails to deliver, season after season each time coming up stronger than before. This is what makes Prada the true embodiment of high fashion as well as a favourite among the masses.
